Software & Services Releases CIS™ Civil Case Management

Shreveport , LA - November 1, 2004 – Today Software & Services announced the immediate availability of the new windows based CIS™ Civil Case Management application. The CIS™ ~ Civil Case Management application utilizes Microsoft’s® SQL Server database engine and is built around the .NET framework. It also incorporates Microsoft’s® Desktop applications such as Word 2003 for document processing. These technologies integrate to provide leading-edge capabilities and automated ways to distribute the latest software release on multitudes of client PCs.

The user interface is enhanced by a powerful tree control that allows easy navigation from a suit to the various data views, or to launch specific processing tasks for the suit. This also provides a very convenient “home” for most users as central point for them to launch other commonly used applications unrelated to this suit.

Overall navigation is customizable for each user utilizing a Microsoft® “Outlook” like control. This control can be easily setup to provide access to only those programs that a particular user needs, for example, customized reports. The control also allows the creation of sub-folders to help structure processes such as end-of-day or
end-of-month routines.

The system includes a multitude of reports. The design of the report driver provides the ability to save a new copy of a report with the specific options of the report already populated. In many cases this allows a report with many options to be pre-defined and later, simply selected from the menu and run.

Application functionality security is implemented to the user and group levels. Functions within the application, such as activating edit or delete buttons are analyzed to insure that the user has the permission to perform each requested function.

This software provides up-to-date information on civil, probate, medical review, adoption and other miscellaneous case types. The Windows based system also provides minute processing, document processing, court calendaring, Register of Actions and Advance Deposit accounting capabilities. Combined with workflow management, the Civil Advance Deposit module gives the Clerk of Court a system to effectively manage and communicate the daily status of activities within cases.

Software & Services, a local government software provider for over 25 years, is excited about this product launch. “It is always a pleasure to work one-on-one with our clients and see them succeed;” says Gary Hebert “They have work 21 st century technology into the court house.” Jennifer Willis, software programmer at Software & Services, says “The .”
