Allen Clerk Launches NEW CIS™ Civil Case Management Software

Oberlin , LA - November 24, 2004 – Allen Parish Clerk of Court announced the installation of the new Windows® based CIS™ Civil Case Management software by Software & Services. This application provides up-to-date information on a variety of civil case types that are processed through the Clerk’s office. The new system provides many critical features including minute processing, document processing, court calendaring, and advance deposit accounting capabilities. Combined with workflow management, the Civil Case Management application is a powerful tool that enables the Clerk of Court to effectively manage and communicate the daily status of activities within civil cases.

The Clerk’s office is eager to begin working with the new software in the office. René Unkel and Stacy Hurst, of the Clerk of Court’s office, recently finished a three day training seminar at Software & Services campus in Shreveport. This comprehensive, hands on training will help them integrate the new software into the court house workflow as well as give them the skills to train others in their office. René Unkel, of the civil department says, “I’m excited about having this new software in the office. It is going to make our job so much easier.” “I know that it will make our workflow between departments operate much more smoothly,” says Stacy Hurst who works in the criminal division, “I know that we are going to be able to work much more effectively with this new software in place.” The Allen Parish Clerk of Court, Gerald Harrington, has committed his office to staying abreast with the newest technology and this software upgrade shows his commitment.
