AIS™ 6.0.2
Features
Data Validation
- Units default to 1 when adding a new item if no units are entered
by the user
- Validation of From and to Date of ownership record - To date
not allowed to be less than From Date
- Validation of Primary Owner- AIS™ will not allow you to
save an ownership record if the save will result in the parcel having
no current primary owner
- Warning message given if % ownership doesn’t equal to 100%
- Error message given during transfer process if you add the same
entity twice
LTC Extract - You now have the following options:
- Export for the LTC or CD viewer (Export by Parcel)
- Export for collections agency (Export by taxbill)
- You have the ability to include all taxes in the export (I wouldn’t
do this if it’s an export to a collections agency, normally
the assessor has the city taxes as part of the parish bill so if
you export all taxes the city taxes will appear to be doubled in
the export file)
CD Taxroll Viewer
- Modified the parcel detail screen and the report to group city
and parish taxes together with subtotals for each type
User Defined Codes
- Now have an option to print on the parcel listing
Transfer
- If the parameter UpdateWithCAMAInTransfer is set to YES, during
a transfer if an age65 exempt parcel is no longer under age65 exemption
due to the transfer, you’ll have the option to update the
taxroll value with the cama value
Query Analysis Report
- AIS™ will ask you if you want to send all the parcels that
are found to the clipboard instead of sending the parcels to a report
User Defined Types/Codes
- You have the ability to provide data validation to the user defined
codes. You can specify a validation type of None, Numeric, Date
or List. If you provide a validation of type list, you will need
to build a list of valid values. When you are in the user defined
type setup, after you edit a user defined code and give it a data
type validation, the system will ask if you want to go through all
parcels in the system and validate the user defined code (this will
allow you to verify your existing data).
- Whenever you are adding or editing user codes on a parcel, the
system will now validate the data if you have validation setup on
the user code. If the user code is a list, you will have the option
of selecting a value from a list instead of having to type it in
Parcel Screen
- You can now sort the Deed List and Ownership List by clicking
on the column you want to sort by. The first time you click the
column it sorts ascending, click it again and it sorts descending.
AIS™ will remember the last sort you used (this is per machine).
Sales Report-
- You can now filter parcels by ward and Section,Township,Range.
- Ward and Subdivision will now show on the results screen.
- The buyer and seller columns were made a bit wider but they will
no longer bleed into the deed number column
Comps Report & Appraisal Report
- The image shown will be the image that is flagged as the default
image for the parcel. If no default is set, AIS™ will use the
first non-tiff image it finds.
Parameters Report
- Property classes and tax codes are now sorted by their Description
Search Screen
- Subdivision list made wider to show more of the subdivision name.
Subdivision list will sort by subdivision name when presented without
the subdivision codes, otherwise it will be sorted by subdivision
code
Owner/Tenant Bug
- If the client was setup to not allow AIS™ to auto-generate
a new parcel number, if a new parcel was created from the “Owner/Tenant”
Screen, the new parcel created had the same parcel number as the
original parcel. This has now been changed so that a new parcel
number is always generated during a copy of a parcel.
Property Class Maintenance
- Added 2 flags “include in total value”, “include
in total units”. The only places in AIS™ right now that
will consider these flags are the following:
- Parcel Screen - in the item list the total value,
hs value, units and hs units will only include property classes
that have the flag set to include in total value
- Parcel Listing- same as the parcel screen
- Class Totals- same thing. The report will highlight
any property classes that are excluded from either units or value
totals
- TC33 Recaps- any AIS™ property classed
marked to not include in total units will not affect the “units”
you see for each tc33 class. Same goes for any that are marked to
not include in the total value, those will not affect the tc33 values.
Balance Tools
- Added ability to send results to clipboard
- Added “parcel type” column to results in the critical
errors wizard
- Added ability to clear out Tax Region validation rules for each
ward or all wards
- Add a “Tax Codes” tab to the critical errors wizard
that will allow you to build a query to find parcels without certain
tax codes
Legal Description
- You can now specify the max number of lines of legal to print
on the following:
- Parcel Listing- there is a place on the options
screen to set this, you can set a default by setting the MaxLegalLines
general parameter
- Tax Notice Letter (in taxroll reports)- this
will look at the MaxLegalLines parameter to determine the max# of
lines to print
- Legal Description in Letter Documents- the legal
description in letters will only print out the max number of legal
lines based on the MaxLegalLines parameter, if this parameter is
not set then the entire legal prints
Physical Address
- AISä now supports multiple physical addresses on a parcel
HS Acres – 160 acre limit has been fixed to
only allow 160 exempt acres per parcel but only to the value limit.
Which ever limit is reached first is the limit that will be used.
Audits
Added the following to the audit when changes are made to:
- Deed information
- Parcel user codes
- Legal Description
- Private Notes
- Notes
- Complete Transfer
o A simple audit record is made showing the parcel number, who did
the transfer and the date it was done
- Split
o A simple audit record is made showing the parcel number, who did
the split and the date it was done
Tax Increase Search
- From the search menu, click on Prior Year Value/Tax Increase Search
and then click the tax increase tab. This allows you to find all
parcels where the taxes have when from $0.00 last year to taxes
greater than 0 this year. The comparison of the taxes for the current
year are based on the date the taxes were last calculated, it will
show you that date on the screen. You can print letters, send results
to search screen or clipboard, or print results from this screen.
This search only includes net value and net acre taxes (therefore
it would exclude looking at changes in city taxes or per assessment
fees).
Splits
- You can now edit the parcel location on the split screen whenever
you copy or move a location to the new parcel.
Parcel Listing
- The parcel number will show on every section of the report
Audit Search
- Added a “Select all” button
Deeds – mass add
- Deeds can now be added to a result set through the clip board
PERSONAL PROPERTY

Last Year Worked has been added to the advanced search
Leased Equipment Personal Property Data Entry
- Added a button to allow copying of a personal property item on
the leased equipment screen. Also, when doing an “Add”,
the Lease Name and Location will not clear out as you add each item
in case you are entering many items with the same Lease Name and
location.
Personal Property Table Maintenance
- Whenever you edit a personal property table, the data will be
loaded into Excel for you to edit (with the exception of a few (Jackup
Types, Well Types and Producers). After you edit the table, just
close excel to save the data, you don’t need to click the
“Save” button in excel
Personal Property Last Report Date
- On the main parcel screen there is an Appraisal Column in the
item list that has “YES” or “NO”. For personal
property data, in addition to “YES”, it will also have
the year it was last reported (i.e. YES/2004)
